Tattoos: A must-have for back to school

Shopping for back-to-school "basics" used to mean T-shirts, jeans, socks and some notebooks. This year, parents added a few other things with one item that really stands out: tattoos.

9/11 ceremonies The memorial ceremony in Watchung to remember those who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 11, at the Village Green across from Borough Hall on the Watchung Circle. Jessica Boren leaves Sunday for Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates where New York University has opened a campus. She was one of 188 students accepted out of the more than 9,000 who applied from all over the world. She grins and says she is probably the only student who was raised in a tattoo parlor.
